We’re over the moon to welcome to wonderful Kryshka as the latest member of our growing team. As is tradition, let’s find out a bit more about our newest member with a quick little Q&A!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your experience.
I’m Kryshka, and I’m so excited to have joined Darogan as Talent and Partnerships Manager. Don’t let the name fool you – I was born and bred in Swansea and, apart from a six-year stint in Plymouth for university, I have lived here my whole life. Prior to this role I spent a decade in the education recruitment sector, working with some incredible educators and beautiful schools across South West Wales. I am looking forward to taking all of the skills I’ve learned throughout my ten years in the wild world of temporary, agency recruitment and applying them to my new role.
What inspired you to join Darogan?
I am in a rare position whereby I have previously been, at different stages in my life, Darogan’s target candidate and customer! As a Welsh graduate who attended an English university in the early 2010s, I have seen first-hand the lack of attention given to entice graduates back to the green green grass of home once we enter the job market. In my professional life, I have attended many a dry career event and remember seeing Darogan enter the scene with their fresh and exciting approach to early careers recruitment. So often Welsh interests are amalgamated within English strategy, so to be a part of a Welsh-owned company which focuses on Welsh recruitment support is an absolute privilege. To play a part in something so important for Wales’ prosperity and talent retention at such an early stage of the journey is incredibly exciting. I can’t wait to get started!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I am a mother of three young children, so my hobbies and interests very much centre around silence and coffee that is warm…
In all seriousness, though, I recently woke up obsessed with my garden and have come to terms with the fact that I must now have hit middle age. I love nothing more than garden centre trips and taking pictures of my flowers! I also love swimming, Lego building and reading – although the aforementioned children make my opportunities for any of them rare!
What are you most looking forward to with your new role with Darogan?
The best part about recruitment is meeting candidates and clients, and I absolutely can’t wait to start networking with both. I am really looking forward to building on the fantastic work that the team have been doing with regards to recruitment support and look forward to enhancing our offering by using my temporary recruitment expertise to build on our intern and contract staffing solutions.
