Company Description
Purpose of the post
•Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
•A member of the team that delivers the highest quality, relevant, effective and innovative learning and development to all Gwynedd Council staff and elected Members
•Supporting the realisation of the digital learning development strategy across the Council
•Supporting staff in developing their digital skills.
•Provide administrative support and facilitate arrangements for all schemes relating to digital learning for Council staff
Responsibility for functions
•Responsibility for digital resources for training e.g. laptops, tablets etc
Main duties
•Support the Digital Learning Co-ordinator to identify, assess and evaluate the digital learning needs of staff across the Council and design appropriate learning materials and resources to meet those needs
•Support Council staff to develop their digital skills so that they can carry out their duties effectively
•Support managers and team leaders in creating suitable development plans
•Support the Learning and Development Service with the selection, development and use of digital learning in creative ways
•Work with the Digital Learning Co-ordinator to work with external organisations and companies that provide digital learning to tailor suitable programmes for staff
•Develop and deliver training across sites across the County that are tailored to specific groups of staff (e.g. frontline staff, very basic skills)
•Provide support and guidance to staff to improve their confidence and ability in using digital systems e.g. the e-learning portal, Policy Centre, Staff Development Module, Intranet etc
•Collaborate with the Information Technology Service, digital officers, and service managers to ensure that training content is relevant and up-to-date.
•Support the Digital Learning Co-ordinator to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the digital learning programmes over the long term through the use of feedback and performance measures.
•Create and adapt e-learning modules and other digital learning modules
•Support the Digital Learning Co-ordinator in overseeing Corporate digital systems including:
•Ensure accuracy and continuously update user information on the systems
•Administer the content by uploading, hosting and archiving relevant modules
•Upload and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and documents.
•Communicate information, reports and updates suitable to officers
•Maintain and updating online resources
•Ensure that provision is aligned with data protection, confidentiality and protection policies.
•Ensure a clear understanding of current digital developments and recommend improvements to training and systems
•Contribute practically to the wider work of the Learning and Development Service where needed
•Responsibility for self-development.
•Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
•Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
•Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
•Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
•Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job.
•Responsibility to report any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
